It does a Mother's Heart Good ..... knitting

OK, so most evenings during the summer we try and watch a movie or old tv show or something as a family ... it's great chance for chill-down and we have some great memories of things we've done together.

Well, tonight, we put in David Suchet's version of Hercule Poirot Mysteries and were watching a couple of episodes ....

BUT, the really cool thing was that of the six people in the room,
FOUR OF US WERE KNITTING!
Yep, Kotch (17yod), String Bean (8yod), me (of course) and .... Lego Maniac (9yos). I guess my demonstrating knitting at the Prince William County Fair last night got all interested again!
Oh, and dh and Bam-Bam were cuddled up in a cozy blanket that I had knitted (so maybe they get half credit?) And Bam-Bam did get out needles so I can start teaching him tomorrow.
How cool is that?

Very cool Mary- nothing I liked better than two winters ago when the three of us (dd11, ds8 and I) would sit through the -40 weather and knit away. Just pulled out my yarn again today to begin a baby sweater and hat.
